What do you get in the kit's hardware package?

I've noticed that many of the PBG kits have an option to not get the hardware with the kit, however, I haven't seen anything detailing exactly what is included with the hardware kit. Maybe this is a total newbie (which I am) question, and I realize it probably depends a bit on the kit in question, but it would be nice to know in case you want to upgrade some of the pieces.
The ES-3 for example only has a chrome hardware option, so if I wanted gold hardware I'd have to source it elsewhere and it would be nice to have a complete list of what would have been in the hardware package.
I did try using the forum search function but didn't turn anything up.

    Thanks,
    Peter.

    Hi Peter,
It's listed at the bottom of the Product Description what you get, ie:

If you choose to purchase with Hardware, you will receive:
    ◾2 Humbucker pickups
    ◾Triple ply black pickguard
    ◾Tune-o-matic bridge with Trapeze tailpiece
◾Chrome tuners (Upgrade to Grover 406C Mini Rotomatic Tuners from $44.95)
◾Speed Volume and Tone knobs (4)
    ◾USA Made Strings
◾All electronics (pots, caps, wires and solder)
    ◾All screws and strap buttons
    ◾Lead
◾Free Ernie Ball Super Slinky Strings

I saw that list, Swanny, but I assumed (maybe incorrectly) that the hardware kit would be a subset of that list.
For sure the pickups are not included in the hardware kit since they are a separate option when ordering.
I guess I'd like to see the flip-side of that statement... "if you choose NOT to purchase with hardware, you will NOT receive x,y,z"
Like I said, maybe it's a newbie question, or maybe I'm a little dense (or both)

Hi Peter, the hardware packs in the kit contain everything except the body and neck. Pickups, pickguard (if it has one), control covers, tuners, bridge, electronics, screws, switch... everything you need to build a guitar except the finish and tools.

So, if you order a kit without hardware you only receive the body and neck.

Of course, some kits have the option to include the pickups (or not), so if you want the stock pickups you can choose to have them.
    Cheers,

    Adam

    Thanks Adam,
That's exactly the confirmation I was looking for.

    Peter.
