    First act me1972...

So I pick up this guitar for $25 (u.s.) because I heard they aren't plywood?! Had to find out for myself... and for $25 (that's form the guitar, a capo, new strings, a cable, a tuner, and a stand) why not find out for sure!!!! Well not only is it not plywood but under the lacquer, paint and veneer cap it has some really pretty grain! Super excited to get this sanded down, stained, and back together!!!

nice score Jbird, what's the colour you going to stain it ? Grain looks nice, if you post some more pics of the grain after it's cleaned up DB may know what type of timber it is. Might be some sort of ash if you are lucky !
    What's the neck like ?

Necks straight 2x4 tuners in almost a reverse headstock style... I'll post pics as I move forward with it. Right now I'm unsure of color. All I know is I'm thinking of doing a high gain/output pup

nice progress Jbird, so it's just got the one humbucker, are you thinking about routing a neck pup ?

grain looks pretty plain, but good job sanding all that paint off !

sounds too cold in your workshop !

opposite here in WA forecast 38 degrees celcius so over 100 degrees in your units

I thought about it but I think I'm going to stick with the single humbucker single volume... but I not sure at the moment... if it did the neck pup is want to drop emgs in it
