Jimi Hendrix Fender New Model For 2015

How many will be inspired to build a Hendrix Replica
HENDRIX LIVES Fender release their new 2015 VOODOO CHILE tribute Stratocaster signed by Jimi Hendrix the adopted by London superstar TODAY with a huge nod to the explosion of interest caused by Jeff Beck's Todd Krausse / JBlack reverse headstock JB stage guitar with longer string length for the bass strings, creating a tighter playing feel with easier bending and vibrato on the treble strings. The October 2015 Hendrix Strat sports American Vintage ’65 single-coil pickups includes a reverse-slant bridge pickup, producing uniquely inspiring tone with tight, warm sound and enhanced upper harmonics and definition. The highly versatile 9.5”-radius “C”-shaped maple neck with medium jumbo frets offers a flatter playing surface—ideal for chording while simultaneously allowing you to bend notes to the stratosphere during scorching solos. Commemorating Hendrix’s unrivaled legacy, the large ’70s-style headstock bears the guitarist’s signature on the rear. A unique neck plate displays a silhouette of the man himself and the engraved inscription, “Authentic Hendrix,” leaving no doubt as to the inspiration behind this guitar. Jimi's London flat was declared permanently open to visitors today by the BBC worth a visit to London to see his bed, worn-out sofa and his 1968 black Strat on the wall here: handelhendrix.org

sounds good KB, any idea of the price and had a quick look on the website couldn't see a pic of the axe ?
How can they call 9.5" radius neck a flat playing surface would be a fair bit more curved than the PBG standard of 12"

EDIT just got the Fender link cheers KB, price must be well over $10-15k at a guess. Thats rubbish the Fender website doesn't even show a pic of the autograph on the back of the headstock or the neck plate

ah that sounds like a much fairer price Ponch.
I just assumed they would call it a custom build and add a ridonkulous price to it.

Looking at it, the horns on body are still not Jimi style. Wouldn't it just work doing the opposite of Hendrix - get a left hander, restring and use right handed?

yeah I picked that up Ponch. I don't remember Hendrix playing a reverse headstock. He played a right handed strat upside down and restrung so the headstock looked reversed. Luckily he had big enough fingers to reach the high frets with a smaller lower cutaway
