    G'Day from Brisbane

G'Day all from Brisneyland! I found Pitbull guitars a few weeks ago, when I started looking at building guitars, in particular I was looking at 12 string designs. That's when I found the ES-12G.

I'm not a serious or an accomplished guitarist by any stretch, but I picked up a copy of a 335 a year or so ago, and decided I liked the look of the hollow body, so why not try and build myself a 12 string version?

At the moment I'm 36 days into estimated 4-6 week back order period, so I'm hoping next week to get a package delivered.

I've jumped on the learning curve and read a lot of builds and threads to start my apprenticeship, but I haven't found anyone that's built this model 12 string. My idea from the start was to create a blue stained guitar, if I get really game I'll try a blue-burst. Here's some attempts at different intensities on a piece of pine that I tried out...

Once I get my box of timber, I'm sure I'll have questions!

welcome to the forum Swanny. think you are the third person from Bris Vegas this week to join the community !
I think Gav Turner has built a 12 string semi hollow body but not sure it was a PBG kit.
Stain tests look great, a blue burst will look excellent.
Start a build diary when it arrives and ask any questions you have

Wokka, I saw Gavin's 12 string, it made me start to doubt my choice of colour! How can I defile the timber with colour?

Fretworn, I think the work you're doing with your tuners is enough to do your head in! Can't wait to see how your colours turn out.

@ Rob if you get any more builders from Bris Vegas you may outnumber Perth builders !

That's the plan Warren. Time to start planning a takeover I think.

EDIT: Sorry guys, I think we're in danger of breaking the new TJ policy.

Hi Robin, I think we're safe on the TJ'ing... this is the Welcome Section, where the Perth guys can welcome the takeover by Brisbane!

Welcome Swanny from a fellow Queenslander. It is a shame Perth is so far away as it would be a blast to catch up with some of those guys to see what they do whilst sampling a few of their famous local beers.
