Got my ESB4 kit a few weeks ago.. Love it!
Opening the box was about as exciting as getting my first guitar some 30 years ago..my wife thinks I'm nuts..go figure!
Here's the mock build photo. Everything seems pretty bang on. Neck is a super tight fit but I figure thats not a bad thing for a glue on neck.

After 4 x 2hour sanding sessions I was feeling pretty confident to lay down the stain (Dingotone Uluru Red).
Really happy with the results..

No mate I didn't tape off the binding.. I firstly gave it a going over with 400 wet dry (I saw someone had done that in another build and thought it a good idea) then I went around it again (very carefully) after the stain with some super fine steel wool (I also saw that in another post).
well done Damo, cleaning up binding can be a difficult fidly job.
So will your bass look like your avatar a Darth Vader light saber connected to the neck ?

That's always been part of the plan Wokka ever since I saw Star wars all those years back... Haven't quite figured out how to make an actual Light sabre yet.. it's on the drawing board
