Nice one, I'll have to sort one of these out. Perfect base for a custom shop 60s style build (replacing one stolen many years back..)

wow thanks Ben I haven't spotted that yet, always keen for a quilted maple top. With black hardware and black binding that has bulk appeal.

Ponch where was your 60's custom shop tele stolen from ? What a bugger

I had said 'no more kits' and I meant it, goddamnit. Looks like I'll be saving my pennies for a few weeks and then trying my hand at re-profiling the neck.

    Wow!

Now - that top is something I'd like to see done with a P bass body and as a tele bass kit. I'd grab one ina a heartbeat!

i think these will go out of stock pretty quickly....great value considering you get the cap and binding for the same price as a normal tl 1. only downside is that the pickguard is pre fitted, which makes it harder if you wanted to remove it and show off the whole cap

surely the pickguard can be removed. Hard to see in the pics if it's screwed in or another method.
I wouldn't be keen sanding the whole body with pickguard and neck pup in place, then staining it.

Ads can you please have a closer look at this kit to see if the pickguard can be removed ?

I presume its got the oversized neck humbucker route
