    FV-1G "Alvin"

Got a V kit last week and started building.
Blacked the flame and grainfilled body with Mahogany tibermate.
Sanded back and stained the front a couple of times to get the colour purple I was chasing and brought the flame up a little.
Will get a Gotoh Bridge and tuners.
Neo Darkstar pickups and cutback pickguard

Gonna go with string through ferrules instead of the traditional string plate ( actually checked the alignment this time)

Added a touch of black to the purple die and stained back and sides.
Dummy build when at early stage of colouring the front.

Hi Wokka, just Colourtone dye mixed from Blue Cherry Red and Red Mahogany.
The front in top phot is final colour and has come up darker after first TO coat.

Finished headstock and fitted tuners and TRC. Back still needs to be polished up a bit more and photo before neck attached.

Now the dilemma of what knobs to fit. Not usually a fan of Vintage style top-hats but seem to stand out the most.

Go the vintage.. They look cool as with your colour scheme.

Coming along nicely vh. For me I would personally go for the 2nd set of knobs (black domed)

coming along really nicely Tony. My preference would be the vintage dome knobs.
Love the colours and the plate on the back is a nice touch. Also the truss rod cover looks pretty cool, where did you buy that ?

    Thanks Guys.

Wokka bought a few from E bay from
    http://www.ebay.com.au/usr/acmesuper...72.m2749.l2754 .

Has a lot of nice TRC
Exchange rate has changed a lot and they seem a bit more expensive than when I originally got mine.
