    FS-1 Kit Complete

Well, it' been a long and (at times) difficult journey, but I have completed the first guitar I have ever built! It is an FS-1 kit, which I fell in love with the first time I saw the collection of parts.

My guitar is stock except for the following:

    - Moonflower pickups
    - Gold plated knobs
    - Gold plated string retainers
    - Custom spacer for trapeze bridge mount

    Still to do:

    - Bone nut **Done 26/9/15

My guitar is hand-finished, all paint was applied by brush, and the overall finish is french polished. There are 73 applications of lacquer on the guitar, which took 6 weeks.
The frets were leveled, dressed and polished, the intonation is spot-on.

It is a wonderful-playing guitar, with wonderful acoustic tones from the neck pickup and the ability to really shout when driven.

I am very happy with the outcome. The photos below all link to larger versions.
