Saw a Telecaster today that had a great scratch plate on it

Hi Guys saw someone's telecaster today the scratchplate was made out of his favourite vinyl album . Had the label in centre of guitar and control plates where made of the vinyl too the scratch plate and control plates where all held on with magnets. What a great idea.

Hey KB, I've seen this, cool effect hey. I heard it's really hard to cut the vinyl without cracking it.

You got a photo of this tele ?

I should pull out an old vinyl record I don't like and try cutting it

I think it looks awesome, but here's my problem...would you use an album you don't like and the have to constantly look at the Kamahl (or whatever) label or use an album you like and destroy it.

Btw, Wokka, I can laser cut them, no problems.

    Example:
'As long as there's, you know, sex and drugs, I can do without the rock and roll.'

Hit your local Salvos store or St Vinnies and I'm sure you will find an lp with just the right level of cheesy-ness. I reckon later lps ('80 or '90s would probably work better and the tended to thinner more flexible and less fragile. I have a pile of old Bakelite 78's and I'm pretty sure they would just shatter.
