So my package arrived on Friday, a quick unpack and poke around reveals many goodies!!
Yesterday morning was a quick shopping trip for some tools,
(a new project is an excellent excuse for man cave expansionism)
And we start with headstock shaping
Getting closer
And now the finished shape
The next step is body sanding! off we go using the supplied regulation Pitbull paper.
Oh OH!!!!!
We have a problem Huston!
The veneer started to come away,
After several Emails back and forth (on a weekend!) Andy is sending out a replacement kit.
I gotta say that Andy gets 11 outta 10 for customer service and backing up his product.
I do have a couple of noob questions for the learned folk haunting the forum,
1: What sort of glue would you use for a bone nut on a maple neck?
Im going to use Tung oil (is it just me, or does that sound rude to others as well?) for the fretboard.
2: Would Tung oil (now I just cant resist saying it) be good for the back of the neck as well?
