    Neck through bass?

    Something with a shape a little like the IB-5, IB-6S basses but with the neck the full length to the bridge and the body slapped on the sides as top and bottom pieces.

    Having a kit like that would be difficult Sam, might need DB to build you a custom kit, and that would be expensive too... Actually even a kit would be really hard, might even have to go with a fully shaped body and neck!

    Yes, but one needs to have a neck the right length, shaped so it goes to a block at the body end.

    Yes, and then there is the shaping and smoothing and sanding....and maybe even a veneer cap over the front!
