Ive had a quick search on the other threads, and Im not even sure this is the place to ask, but are there any kits on offer with an unlined fretless fingerboard and neck for traditional basses?

Dont think so. Most of the fretless ones have been done by the builders: fret pulled then slots filled

Ads did have a fretless, unlined bass up for sale recently. They can be ordered - just need to be exact with what you want... DB also has a thing for taking frets out, so it can be organised as a service. That said - not too hard to do yourself.

There is always a workaround for glitches, mistakes and other Guitar building gremlins.....
