Wokka's TL-1M with double binding and veneer

Started this new build Wednesday and its progressed well. Had a veneer I got from the wood show last year, not even sure what sort of timber it is but like the look of it.
Glued the veneer with kwik grip and used every clamp I could find.
Removed the clamps Thursday and trimmed off the excess and cavity holes

So Friday took the body to DB's man cave and his mini table router setup for binding cut the double binding channels. On the way back to my man cave I needed some Tarzan grip glue so hence the photos of us outside the Big Green Shed !
Saturday shaped and glued the binding and taped it up.
Also glued the same veneer to the headstock and shaped that and got a logo on

removed the binding tape lastnight after 24 hours and did a mock build. Still need to sand the binding flush.
Plan is to clear the cap and sides and back will be an old baltic stain

Looking awesome Wokka! Love the veneer and that binding almost makes it look like you're working with a solid piece of timber rather than a veneer.

    cheers BG and Tim.
I can thank you Tim for seeing your double binding had to do it to mine too.
I won't get any more work done in it will be away for a week from Wednesday.
Hoping to catch up with Lawry next Monday in Townsville

    cheers Fretty and Pest.
Will look at setting up a similar mini table router that DB made up - made the job so much easier than using a dremel attachment where you don't have much to rest on around the lower horn

Looking sweet there bro, she's gonna look insane once the clear coats go down. It's gonna be sad posting it to my house when you're finished:-(
