So my bass kit arrived today! All looks in good order. Deciding on the finish and planning upgrades. The body has some tasty grain to pop. Machine head holes are satisfactory on this so one less job! This kit will now sit in the queue for a bit...

Why do these bass kits all have a cut around the bridge placement? Is it a hole for the ground or something?
Yep, low angle drill hole for bridge ground wire.

That was one mod I was thinking about. I do have an old crapped out neck I can practice on removing frets and filling remaining fret slots. I like to try and learn something new on each build so it maybe the go...
