Play It Loud - The story of the Marshall amplifier

If you've got a spare hour, watch this.

Bloody good doco on the beginnings of a rock icon.

Watched & enjoyed, thanks for the link

Bought back memories of the mighty Super Lead 200 that my guitarist Jeff Barnes had, he had an LP Recording straight in and what an enormous sound it had

In heaps of those rig rundown type articles you read there is an large amount of gear behind some guys. I one read a top 100 rigs type article. Players and their massive pedalboards were listed down to the components just about, very cool.
The best rig was owned by Angus Young.

Gotta appreciate the simple things. I love how Angus gets his tone; plug in, turn everything to 10, done.

I heard Angus doesn't use that much gain surprisingly. He gets his sound from being such a good player

Angus uses some gain I'm pretty sure, around 3 to 5 out of 10. He wouldn't get much crunch from a clean channel without a FX pedal
