G'Day all. Just to introduce myself my name is Michael and have been interested in and toying with the idea of building guitars for years. Time to bite the bullet and do it.

Hi Mike, welcome to the forum, tell us a bit about your experience, where you are from and what kit you are interested in please.
There is plenty of knowledge here so ask as many questions as you like.

Thanks mate.
Well in terms of experience i have done work on my guitars switching pickups and a couple of fret jobs so I have some idea or some bad habits. Was thinking of a bolt on kit as a first step. I have read a bit on the forum and watched a few videos. The info available is very helpful.
I am am from Canberra been playing guitar 25 years. It does seem like a great hobby and very different from the mundane office work.
Cheers
sounds good Mike, curing times for finishes in Canberra winter may be slow being so damn cold !
Sure you will have no problem building most kits on offer. Most people choose one they have never owned or haven't been able to get a model in a finish they like. There's only 90+ kits to choose from. Thats the hardest part !
Best of luck
