    End of an era.....

Well Folks, time to bid farewell...

This is the last of my old locally sourced Tassie Blackwood builds....

The quality on offer last time I visited my purveyor of fine timbers was unsatisfactory.

I now source my Tone Woods from a saw mill in Tasmania.
Costs more but the quality is assured.

    @ Fretty,

Three piece body, the central chunk is much denser than the wings..

Very nice looking body DB! Can't wait to see it completed! Is it just me or is the body a bit longer than normal? Could be the camera angle though...

nice one DB, must be a bit sad the last of the Tazzy blackwood builds. I've had great experience with this timber on a scratch body and a few fingerboards.
Where's this axe destined for DB ?
Where's the output jack going on the pickguard, usual position or side mounted ?

Beautiful neck DB! Would love a transition like that on the Bellamy axe!
