    pitbull standard pickup

hey guys, was just wondering if anyone has ever used a pitbull guitars standard pickup (the stock ones, not entwistle, wudtone or tonerider pickups) in another guitar? for example, when I got my LPA-1 kit I had a set of EMGs (81, 85 if you were interested) in the kit, so I never used the stock pickups, but on saturday I bought a guitar (japanese made Daion performer) and the bridge pickup absolutely sucked (it was extremely corroded and the guitar was probably kept in a basement most of it's life) so I replaced it with the bridge/red wire humbucker that came with my LPA-1 kit, now it absolutely roars, has anyone else had this experience? i'm keen to know, pics related, the guitar (I added the stripes) and the original humbucker (now a fridge magnet)

Nice Duke! I have a few stock pickups lying around here actually. I really should make use of them if your experiences are anything to go by. Thanks for the heads up.

    cheers,
    Gav.

it turned a sad neglected guitar that cost $100 into a van halen machine, they are really great, also has anyone seen that type of tremolo before? because it's definitely not a standard system

can't really see the trem Duke, please post some better close ups. Looks like a bolt is holding the lock for the high E string !

yeah wokka, I had to replace it with a different bolt as the orignal hole for the fine tuner screww was almost completely stripped so I found a bigger screw, retapped the hole and put that in there. The guitar was super rough when I got it but I've done a a lot of work on it, replaced the tuners with gold locking ones, retapped the holes on the locking nut to acommodate bigger, better screws, made a bar for the tremolo, then tapped the hole for the tremolo as I wouldn't have been able to find an original and did the stripes, after all that work it's amazing and plays better than my epi explorer

Duke - I've mainly built basses, but I do like the standard pups. I've recently started upgrading pups in my new axes as I've got to the point where my wife is asking where are we going to put these guitars so I figured that I'd stop buying as many, trick some out a little and see what the difference is.
