Hey guys, want the option to put the tele into series using a single mini toggle switch, but not quite sure what to solder to what. This will be on a standard TL-1 kit.

Hey fatmunkey,
Here is a post by seymour duncan that explains his mechanism using a switch (or push pull pot) to switch the middle position of the 3-way switch from parallel to serial.

here's the diagram from the post:
For series wiring to be possible, you will need to modify your neck pickup to separate the ground wire attached to the pickups chassis, and the end wire of the pickup. Here is a description (See Step 5) of that process:

Hope this helps.
cheers,

Gav is on the money with his info. One thing to note is it requires a CRL style lever switch to make it work, as you need a separate 'common' for each pole on the switch and the stock PBG 3-way 'import' style switch usually just has a single shared common lug. And, if you need to change switches, the alternative is to just use a 4-way lever switch so you have both series and parallel options without the need for a separate mini-toggle.
Here's some info on how to do the parallel/series wiring mod to a stock PBG Tele neck pickup.
