    I'm sure it would have the same affect on guitars f holes too.

    I know but you see these things and I'm compelled to share .What amazes me Stan , is how they knew that it was the best shape and why, without all the technical tools we have now.
    It's like the pyramids you go there and there's walls a metre thick yet it is so finely balanced you can push it with a little finger to open it. Great skills these people had .
