    Stratacoustic.

Adam, when we were chatting about Strats at GH Music, I did have the thought you could do a hollow version. Well it seems some one does make a stratacoutsic kit as GME have one on Fleabay.
Personally I think these would be a great kit to build but for it to be anygood to you you would need more than just me to say I want one.

wow thats a cool idea PK, a bolt on neck would be much easier than a set neck. Wonder if the factory could build one

You could probably get the factory to round the back edge, a bit like the real ones are, but of course they are plastic.

Pick up systems would be easy as you can probably squeeze some tele pups in or just go with a piezo in the bridge(my favourite).
There are any number of styles of passive and powered pre-amps that you could use on this.

It's a definite must have for me. build one if I can, or buy a real one. they are about $600-$700 as a genuine article.
Cheapest I saw on FleaceBay was about $410USD for a second hand one shipped from US but it was a butt uggly grren colour..

Played one, sounds... ok for the price, the "droplet" effect from the fibreglass body doesn't really appeal to me. If we can get a full wood kit, I'd probably be in for one with a Fishman piezo pup!
