Welcome Steve.
The LP Jnr is a great kit. I absolutely love playing mine and it sounds amazing even with the stock pickup. I'm about to start another one myself so I'm interested what you have planned!
cheers
Gav.

Hi Steve,
I've built three LP Jnrs. well 2.5, still have to gloss one of them. what ever style of neck fixing it has make sure you check the angle of the neck n the socket. I had two that I had to adjust. Looking forward to seeing how it all comes to gether.
Cheers PK

Thanks everyone I have been sanding for the past few days, have found the post holes for the bridge don't seem to line up as well as expected, otherwise every thing else seems Ok.
I'm looking at attaching the neck and have been thinking about how best to ensure it will line up with the strings. I will probably install the bridge as a temp measure and install top and bottom E strings to ensure the neck is in line, so interested in Kells comments.
Would also like to fit a bone or brass nut but not sure of the best way to remove the existing plastic nut.
Not sure about the finish yet Andrew
Thanks again
Kind regards
Steve
The nuts are very lightly seated - a smart rap from a plastic hammer will usually dislodge them quite easily.
When approaching the neck it's a good idea to get some string guides (fishing line works well) to get the desired amount of width on high-e and low-e sides respectively.
Thanks Nick
