Ohh, look what turned up today!

Haven't has time to plan this one yet. My first hollow body and the finish will involve a burst of some sort..(thats the plan anyhow)

Body looks good, just a couple of small visible glue blobs to fix. Nice binding, headstock is already preshaped 'G' style and a nice pattern along the fretboard.

I'll give this the HW upgrade treatment - this time possibly with Grover tuners (from a knackered Maton acoustic) rest undecided...

But for the time being need to upgrade some plastic nuts on older builds...

mate that fingerboard grain is sweet, so is the rest of the guitar but the fingerboard is what caught my eye ;P going to follow this one for sure!
For some things, some times, it's the same time all over the world, and I think we know what time that is...

Yep sure am looking forward to it. I've now managed to fit in 2x builds in between my recent LP & custom LP-JNR order (due any week now), so much for having a break over summer!

I've still got spare Colortone laying around to use up; yellow, red, mahogany & black so may have to do a burst in that order. Should in theory blend nicely...

sounds like a nice burst plan Andrew, looks like the finger glue marks hopefully are on the edge where dark colours should hide them.
Its weird how a few kits have a pre-shaped headstock.
I found the SG-2 kit has a similar pre-shaped stock

I actually wanted to paint my Tele like that at one time. Black base color with purple ghost flames and purple dice for the knobs...hehehe

The ES is a nice guitar for sure and lend themselves well to many different paint/dye schemes.
