Hey all.
My first post here.

I am very slowly rebuilding a Jap SG copy that I picked up pretty cheap.

That is what it looked like when I got it.

As you can see, it had been robbed of many parts, including the bridge pickup.
The guitar has no brand, but the neck plate has "Japan" stamped into it.

It was quickly disassembled.

Now, during this process, I have been trying to track down another pickup, without any luck.

The pickup in the neck is not a P-90, or a humbucker. It does not measure up as either.
There are no markings or any clues as the who made it.
The DC resistance is 5.45k.

Now I have sourced a SD humbucker to fit the bridge. I was thinking of making a custom scratch plate to mount both pickups in.
Just wondering if anyone out there might have an idea who made this thing and what year it was made?
