Thread: This is doing my head in....

    Ok... This happens everytime i try something funky.

    The intention is to use a push pull pot as a tone / volume.
    I have tried this diagram but it acts as a volume / volume............

    Any ideas from our wiremiesters?

    There is always a workaround for glitches, mistakes and other Guitar building gremlins.....

    That diagram looks fine to me, if you wire it like it's shown it should work as a volume when 'down' and a tone when 'up'. If it's working as a volume in both positions it is probably a mis-match of the connections on the left bank of the switch (relative to the image). Post a pic of your wiring if you can, a close-up of just the push/pull pot may be enough, and we can try to spot the issue.

    thats a cool way DB to get 2 controls out of 1 control. Hope it works out mate. If it keeps failing to work grab a beer, must be close to beer oclock anyway !

    Found the problem... A faulty pot!
    I swapped it for another one and bugger me it works........

    What are you using a tone knob for? And for that matter a volume one as well? I thought you disdained them entirely. Both should be at full throttle or not there at all!
