There is always a workaround for glitches, mistakes and other Guitar building gremlins.....
Orr hell yes!! I actually had something very similar in mind for my first scratch build (whenever that may be)
Is this a neck through DB?
nice work DB, I saw this in progress last Friday at the man cave, looks like you have done some shaping of the neck.

Thunderbirds are GO. Such a cool shape. I predict another enviable guitar evolving here.
