Thread: Freeway - Ultra

  1. #1
At last, StewMac is stocking the Free-way Ultra toggle switch! It's far more flexible than the old version... but certainly not cheap.

The supplied wiring diagrams have some nice designs. Finally, I can do standard LP style wiring plus parallel and series in/out phase options all on a single toggle switch. Good times.

The previous one also had 6 options? I used the previous one on my Midi/acoustic/Fender/Gibson/Ibanez.....

WireMeister, what have I missed? Might wan't to sneak this into my GoldTop....Shhhhh!

Yep, still 6 positions, it's just the way the connections are paired in the various positions on the Ultra gives you a bit more flexibility. Basically, access to more lugs. I couldn't do the full parallel/series in/out phase options that I wanted on the old version, but I can with the Ultra.

    Nifty. Especially for recording.

The only thing with switches like this is when you have to cram all the wires into the cavity :P bloody impossible sometimes. My tele has some mods that barely fit but was worth it in the end. Series/parellel/split wiring is awesome on it.
