Thread: New bass suggestion

  1. #1
I used to own a Cort GB34, one of the best basses I've ever played (why I sold it is a long story, but I regret it very much). Not the biggest brand name, but it was the way it felt, played and sounded that made it magic. P-Bass style body, but with a subtle strat style contour to the body. Then a J-bass pup with an active preamp, and a big old humbucker for getting down and dirty. the neck was thin like an ibanez shredder, and it all resulted in something fast that could do slaps and pops, or deep grooves. I've popped a link below, but aside from the active preamp it should be easy enough to get a kit made up. And if you can get active electronics, it might be a cool upgrade for every other bass kit too.

Easy to get it made up, but we would have to fill a minimum order. Anyone else interested?
Otherwise you could always ask DB to customise one for you...

Alternatively, go with a J Bass and widen the bridge pup. Not quite the same, but close.
