Jared, work out what stain or paint colours you are planning and as Gavmeister says start a build diary and any questions you have the forum will answer. Have a read of the How to build thread Gav posted and you will need some basic tools such as screwdrivers, sandpaper, drills and drill bits, paint/stain and a long piece of wood for a body hanger when its curing. Also a 10mm spanner to tighten tuner nuts

a long piece of wood for a body hanger when its curing.
A bit of wire through the jackhole will also suffice in many cases. 8O

sure can Tim. I find the body much easier to work on with a handle and can put it in the vice if its a bolt on neck.
Just a jarrah or pine offcut works fine and is inexpensive

    Hm, true.

I hadn't tried that yet. It would have made working on the bass a bit easier, but I got around that OK.

yer I recommend for your next build Tim put a hanger/handle on the body, makes it much easier to work on and simply put a hook in a drilled hole at the top and hang it to cure

Yep, definitely. It'll be quite soon - the 3/4 strat that I scored on Sunday will be on the bench in the near future. Mini Me has already picked out a colour scheme and is giving me the hurry-up.
