Wokka's Beer Label Axe 1 (used to be chrome !)

might as well start a build diary, this was my last spare ST body trying out some new paint, 1st pic is 1st coat sanded with mirror pickguard. Last 2 pics are after 2nd coat. Ran out of light due to being on the net over 2 hours today with the PBG sale !
The body didn't have a neck till the sale. Now I got 3 ST kits supercheap its sorted. Will be painting the headstock in chrome, not sure yet if I'll paint the neck chrome too, any suggestions ?

My 2c Wokka - leave the neck a more traditional neck colour for contrast. My vote would be natural. That chrome paint job will look fully sick once the clear coats are on .

    cheers,
    Gav.

i tried this as well Wokka .....couldnt get the Chrome finish i wanted,it ended up more silver than chrome
-and after i sprayed a clear coat over it it went grey ! ..... there is a product out there that can create a chrome/ mirror finish like a dip - im trying to find a supplier

I've also dabbled with chrome but ended up with 80's glam rock silver. Hoping you've found a product that will satiate our shiny metallic needs with out me having to perm what's left of my hair and wear beer coolers on my wrists and biceps.........

If this is a copy of Keith Urban's "Silver", then it needs to be a string thru......

Also one less pickup, and a tele headstock. Such a cool mongrel guitar.

I'm liking where this is going Wokka. Wondered when I'd see that pickguard.

cheers fellas. Yes Pablo I was waiting to find a colour for the chrome mirror pickguard.
We'll have to wait and see what colour it looks like after clear coats. Hoping it will only need one more colour coat
