Hi all. Just wondering what people have experimented with when making nuts and bridges and what sort of effect different materials produce so far as tone, sustain and any other effects may turn up?
Any input greatly appreciated

I haven't tried brass but am still keen. However, I've used bone and the difference is pretty impressive compared to plastic!
If you have a non locking trem, graphtech is my favourite cos its similar to bone but self lubricating and keeps tuning.
saw a recent interview with Larry Carlton, he has a graphite nut on his backup guitar (another 335) and loves it
