Did anyone else read the Buzz Feiten article in the June 14 Guitar Player?

Some of his ideas about guitar construction seemed slightly counter-intuitive to me. I can kind of understand putting a humbucker in at an angle so that one of the coils in closer to the strings than the other to get a more focussed sound. Slightly loosening the screws that hold the bridge on, and in the bolt-on neck, so that the string can vibrate all the pieces of the guitar individually, rather than trying to vibrate the whole guitar, seems to me like a way to make an electric banjo.

    Current:
    GTH-1

    Completed:
    AST-1FB
First Act ME276 (resurrected curb-side find)
    ES-5V
    Scratchie lapsteel
    Custom ST-1 12 String
    JBA-4
    TL-1TB
    Scratch Lapsteel
    Meinl DIY Cajon
    Cigar Box lap steel

    Wishing:
    Baritone
Open D/Standard Double 6 twin neck
