Thread: New Forum Platform

  1. #1
    Hey folks,

We will be moving to a new Forum platform in the not too distant future. We're just testing vBulletin now and, from what I've seen, I think it has all the functionality we want and more.

There's many more options for your profile, avatar, signature and for following specific threads and seeing which threads you haven't read.

I've asked Brendan to have a look at its functionality and, if he's happy, then we should all be happy.

Just a reminder that we have to move the Forum because Mingle Forum is no longer being supported and it is holding our site's development back.

    Cheers,

    Adam

Hey Ads. The way this forum is growing it's a great idea to evolve with the community and I'm all for more features and swankiness.

All, have just had a quick glimpse and WOW! Looks like there's a whole looota new fruit there. Looks like a couple of ways to see the latest posts, some personal messaging options, a few more options on letting people know about yourself, etc., etc., etc. Personal feeling is that Ads is on a winner with this one. I'm excited about the new forum software and what it will offer the community!

VB is excellent. I can't wait until the new platform - this one has a few niggly things that annoy me.
