Hey guys, as most of us know I am a massive Green Day fan and I love the look of one of Billie's Les Paul Juniors, how might I replicate this finish?

    hey Pest,

some of the mainstream autoshops (eg. supercheapauto) have metallic silver acrylic spray cans. Personally I would find an auto colour specialist who can make you up a custom silver colour with metallic flake in it. There is one near me - "Colourtec" that will mix it from the catalog and then put it in spray cans for you.

    Hope this helps.

    cheers,
    Gav.

I'm with Gav, but look into a silver base coat and a clear with silver fleck. Metal flake needs to be in the clear coat or it's not visible.

very true Pab , spray it metallic silver then fleck in the clear coat. Fleck can be quite pricey for the good stuff though. another option is to do one coat of clear with cosmetic glitter believe it or not and then a couple of coats on top of just clear. cut back and polish and vwalla.
