    Hey guys,

Just thought I'd share a bit of background on one of my favourite guitars.

This is my 2011 MiM Tele. As you can see... it's had a few mods done to it.

    Namely:
    1. Some GFS Hot Rails in the bridge.
    2. Seymour Duncan '59 in the neck.

With these new instalments,I also added a series/parallel switch for the '59. I just found it needed a bit more beef during lead stuff due to the rails being so hot (even though they're mid output..). Running in series was the perfect thing to do.

    Here's a couple of pictures:

Yep. That's hot, Nick. Wadya think of the rails compared to standard poles? I've been toying with the idea of putting one in the neck or mid slot of the Matriarch jagmaster,

Nice Tele man! I've got Dimarzio hotrail mini humbuckers in my strat and they are aewasome little pickups, you can get the beautiful clean Fender tones but bring the Sabbath when you need to.

    Hey Lawry,

I love the rails. I find singles in the bridge hard to use at the best of times (too much treble/brightness). Even though they're only rated at 8.7 they're still bloody hot. Had to drop them quite a bit to match levels w/ the '59.

They're bright enough to nail some light blues/full chords but still have the balls of a lot of the prog stuff that I play.
