haha Stan I won't be entering June as I'll be a judge, thats if there is anything to judge.
I'll have a few entries to choose from for July though, I'm still chasing Andyports total !

    First time entry!

So the design brief for this one was for a stripped back, made for rock guitar with a touch of class.... I'm pretty confident that I succeeded.

This is a SG-1F kit, all stock electrics and aftermarket hardware (all black for aesthetic purposes)
I don't use tone knobs so I got rid of them, 2 volumes and a 3 way switch, no mucking around! I moved the input jack to the side like a Tele just to clean the look up a bit as well.

I died the fretboard black and shot the body and neck in flat black along with a little gloss white highlight around the headstock.

wow Mick this axe blows me away, I love it and the mods you have done. Look forward to a sound demo.
And a few hours ago I was worried it's almost the midpoint of May with no entries !

Yeah, Mick. This has come together beautifully. I'm with Woks. Keen to hear a sound clip.

Geez... Thats just a bit sexy, Mick!

There is always a workaround for glitches, mistakes and other Guitar building gremlins.....

Some really clever mods there Mick, I'd have this little gem in my collection any day of the week.
I guess the bars set pretty high then.

    Shee-yit!
That is one really nasty, sleek & sexy SG in all respects.
I just love the simplifications you've done to declutter things. The custom headstock is also perfect IMO. Recessed jack is just the berries too.
Been toying with doing one of these kits - now I'm getting more determined!
