this is my STA-1M build finished in jarrah stain/sunset orange dingotone burst. This looks similar to my choccy burst STA-1 build but this has a maple fingerboard. Upgrades are black pickguard, gold bridge, output jack plate, whammy bar, tuners, string retainers and black tremelo cover. I've glued a camphor veneer to the headstock and done a similar colour burst. I haven't entered this in GOTM yet so maybe in July. This is the axe currently in my profile picture

Finished my Bat Strat today. It’s my first build. Upgraded the pickups to s-s-h configuration but that’s about it. Cut up some Batman comics to cover the front of the body then glossed the hell out of it. Cut the headstock to fit the logo.

    My STA-1M:
    All stock parts.
The body was stained with Ubeaut blue water dye (diluted to 25%, 2 coats) (the ash colour turned the blue to aqua!). Given 3 brushed on and 6 wiped on coats of Tru-oil. Sanded along the way up to 2000 g. I wanted to keep the grain texture on the body.
The neck was given 9 coats of Tru-oil, and the fretboard given 6 coats.
The headstock logo and body sign are Cricut vinyl stickers put on after coat 3.
The serial number is stamped on, filled with ebony Timbermate and sanded flat before the Tru-oil.
