Needed a new guitar project after finishing a couple of other projects I was working on and following a discussion with the GavMeister decided on an ST kit... Which Ads kindly put on sale a week or two later after payday...
    Sooo...

Going to look good Brendan, didn't take long to get those MoP dots in. I haven't attempted anything like that so far, still an assembler rather that a builder/modder I guess.

I also took advantage of the "Sunday Special", and like you, the timing was just right.

Hope the build goes OK mate, might make a great mate for your beautiful JB.

    Cheers

Robin - dots last night took ~45 mins total. Cheated a little and widened the holes marginally with a 6mm brad point bit to make life a little easier. Have found some of the PBG holes may be a feather under the 6mm. These all slotted in and will require negligible sanding (fingers crossed - haven't been out tonight to look - had worship practice at church and the Vice President (VP) got a run!) .

Black MOP dot markers look great Brendan.
@ Jarrod yes you have to drill out the existing dot markers, they normally come out pretty easy when you drill about a 2 or 2.5mm hole through the centre

Stan - yep - gotta love them - I figure if I was buying an expensive Martin or Maton or Ibanez bass for that matter, they'd all have MOP or paua or something like that, so why shouldn't mine? It's not too expensive an upgrade and if you take your time - not impossible and doesn't require a massive workshop to get a hot outcome!
