Thread: Hotone Nano amps

  1. #1
I'm a bit reluctant to post this as there might be none left when I'm ready to by a couple...

There are a few on ebay at around the AU$130 mark, and they look the business. If they're good enough they would make fantastic recording amps.

Has anyone tried one out yet? Are they any good?

Hmm. Nope, haven't heard of them but I had a look at their 'specs' and they seem cool. They must have some swanky tone shaping circuitry in there for mimicking different types of classic amps (probably along the line lines of a Tech21 SansAmp or something). The price sure is attractive if they perform as spruiked. In the interests of furthering forum knowledge I think you should buy one and let us know what ya reckon, Tim :-)

They look very interesting Timsan. I bought the Vox 4W Valve amp recently and I really dig it. It's switchable between 4W, 1W and 1/4W. In my apartment I can crank the 1W to max and get a very authentic, driven Vox tone. The only reservation I have is with taking this on stage.
    Cheers,

I'm a bit of sucker for low wattage tube amps so, to me, these things look awesome. Paired with a home made 2x10 cab I reckon you could put together a pretty sweet setup for around the $250 mark. The bass one has really piqued my interest, not sure that 5 watts is really going to cut it for bass though.

Nah Adsy take it on stage, I know a guy who uses the AC4 and he uses it on stage and it sounds great!

    Hmmmm 5 watt Bass amp?
My Stafforshire Terrier could fart louder than that.....

350 watt Hartke rig running an AK410 cab is as low a wattage as I will be prepared to go...
Been trying to convince The Minister for War and Finance that I really need the Hartke Kilo Bass head and another 410 cab but with no luck yet
