Ok, well I'm sure Adam put a TL up on a Sunday sale knowing I wouldn't be able to resist buying a couple , and he was right. Something special for one of these girls , I have ordered at much expense some quilted maple veneers. I had to dam bulk buy so there's gonna be a few of my builds like this.
My plan is to have no control plate on the front and only the switch and knobs showing.Being as my Darth mor model sounds so sweet with a Tone rider rock song humbucker on the neck this one is getting the same and a Tone rider Clasic on the bridge. No scratch plate , I've paid that much for the veneer I don't want people looking at a scratch plate lol.
Any how here is where I'm up to. As you can see I have routed the controls slot right through and intend on putting a plate on the back for access. I have cut up the scratch plate and made a control panel out of it , recessed the front and glued it in ready to except the veneer straight over the top.
Neck is done and oiled with my new signature head shape on.

Exotic wood in the USA. Be prepaid to pay a few hundred bucks. shipping is a killer

Any spoilers on whether the switches and knobs will be woody looking too?

Great work so far man, what are you going to cover the back with once everything is in place?

    I like your headstock too

Thanks ishasmario , I haven't decided on the hardware in that respect yet regarding knobs etc . The back will have black cover recessed in to keep it flush.

Another outside the square approach - looks pretty darn cool to me.
I'll be watching this guitar develop with great interest . . .
