    Bevdog, would have been good if you included a picture.
    Here's a pic, I never heard of them, so its a Firebird/Fender bass hybrid ?
    Current Builds and status
    scratch end grain pine tele - first clear coat on !
    JBA-4 - assembled - final tweaks
    Telemonster double scale tele - finish tobacco burst on body and sand neck

    Completed builds
    scratch oak.rose gum Jazzmaster - assembled needs setup
    MK-2 Mosrite - assembled - play in
    Ash tele with Baritone neck - neck pup wiring tweaks and play in

    yhep.... Thunderbird with Fender neck... SACRILAGE!

    There is always a workaround for glitches, mistakes and other Guitar building gremlins.....

    Maybe if you put a leftie Fender neck on it (reverse-stringed)?....... :-P

    thats right DB, your thunderbird bass body is a similar colour to the picture from memory

    Exactly the same, Woks.. Love my Thunderbird but absolutley hate the Gibson three point bridge.. one day I am going to get around to replacing it with a decent ABM or Schaller...

    Looking at some of the FB guitars coming through - I do think that it'd be a great option in bass. That said, it'd be a while before I could get to it... (he says while muttering ricky, ricky, ricky)...
