Hi Brady.
Welcome to the PBG clan. That's a nice clean looking axe you've chosen. Have fun building it and take your time. If there's anything that causes doubt or uncertainty, just ask for help and you'll find lots of people ready to assist. Looking forward to watching your guitar become a reality so please post as it progresses.
Cheers,
Lawry

thanks, yes I am going to go everything stock for this build since it will be a test for me as I normally play acoustic so not quite sure on pickups and what not. have been looking at other members builds all fantastic. I believe 1 other person has made this guitar in blue I believe. and I will definitely post my progress

I will be painting my guitar do I need to use a lacquer sealer or can I use paint undercoat
Hi Brady,
If you are going to spray the body with acrylic lacquer as your finish coats, this is what I did when painting my JM-1. After some initial sanding I grain filled, using a Timbermate slurry. Then sand, sand and sand using 240 then 320grit. I then used a rattle can of acrylic lacquer grey primer/filler spraying a number of coats. This sands beautifully to a really smooth finish. Then spray your top coat colour, followed by the clear coats. Allow to cure for a week before you cut and polish it to a high gloss finish.
Hope this very quick overview helps you out. If you have any specific questions don't hesitate to ask, always plenty of people here willing to help you out.
Best of luck.
Andy
