Thread: Duo-Sonic?

  1. #1
This is a style of guitar you never see offered as a kit, not even its more widely known relative - the Mustang, with its tremolo system. This baby would make a fine addition to any kit makers catalogue in my opinion, as the Fender Duo-Sonic with its svelte chicness, like in this example from the golden era of Fender Guitars (1959-1964), continues to have a lot of appeal for both players and collectors alike.

Just imagine one in surf green, or perhaps even shell pink?

I reckon it would make a great slide guitar.

If it was going to happen, Mercury, would you rather have the 24" or 22.5" scale length?

Hi Fretworn, thanks for your reply. It would have to be the 24" scale length, like its cousin the Mustang.

Tony - think Adam has drawn a line under new kits for the next month or so - so it may be a little while before this one comes up. I think DB would love to see some Conch Girl moving!
