Thread: strelocaster / telatocaster

Didn't know what these were called but they're a nice mix of tele and strat. Similar idea to Pablos but would be cool to see something like this in the future.

Could you just order a strat / tele and then modify the routes? May be easier with a strat as from memory there's not so much to mod...

Hey Crundes, I'm not sure what I'm looking at there, but the top one, seems to have a Tele top half and a Strat bottom half (on the body). The second one just looks like a Strat with one single coil in the neck. You could certainly do the second one from one of our ST kits, but the first one would have to be templated, so we'd need to order a lot of them. Let's see what the reaction is.
    Cheers,

Alternatively talk nicely to DB - I hear he has some nice chunks of wood that he could take to and get one of the above...

Yeah, I see what you're getting at Crundes and I do like them. I'm sure we could do these. Just let me know which configuration you want and I'll get you a quote. We can't just stock every variable.

@Adam, yeah sorry not the best examples, I couldn't find many. I thought the second picture had a black bridge pickup at first glance so that one can be disregarded. The idea is really just to have tele pickup routes in a strat body and vice versa. I really like the tele shape and love the strat sound so thought it would be cool to mix the two together.

@Brendan, cheers for the info mate may look into this for future projects! :-)
