My SG-1F kit arrived on Friday and I wasted no time in un-boxing it... I have to say I really am impressed with the quality of the kit. I had a neck setup and bone nut done as well (Thanks Dingobass) and it feels like a dream.

The plan for the guitar is stripped back and pure rock but still classy.... stay tuned!

I done a little bit of mucking around today... plugged up/re-located a few of the control holes



And started mucking around with the headstock.



Hopefully tomorrow I can start sanding and hit it with some grain filler.

I hit the body with some sandpaper/grain filler/sand paper this afternoon and managed to get a bit of dye on the fretboard... I only made it to the 12th fret (going backwards) but the rosewood is now somewhere in between ebony and pure black

The inlays still need cleaning up but I'm really happy with how it turned out.

Great work Mick. If I can ask, what kind of dye are you using on the fretboard? How do you clean up the inlays?
