Mike, can you perhaps take a photo of the pack of parts you received and post it on here using the blue "Reply" button. I suspect that somehow you may have ended up with a pack of parts not intended for the IB5....

    Welcome Mike.

Gav, are the pickups foam/rubber blocked or sprung on the IB-5? 4 screws per pup, 4 springs?

Edit: Ah the pics appeared while I was posting, body mount pickup screws and springs.

    Scott.

Here is a pic of the pic up with mounting screw and spring. Spring dia is to big to fit in mounting holes

    Mike,
Welcome to the mad house! Good choice in the IB-5... That said - the springs should go on the screws and sit between the pickup and the body of the guitar. They will be fairly heavily compressed but they should be pushing the pup towards the strings.

    Hi Brendan
when springs are compressed there is only 2 to 3 threads of the screw that will screw into the body

These springs are definitely for the pickups.....you dont need too much thread to hold them in place....
