    G-Day Folks

a little update on how this guitar came about..

Its a cnc machined design drawn buy hand then interpreted into code

so to get here you need a cnc some design software and some cad/cam skills I had non of these a short while ago, got into Rc helicopters and decided I wanted to make my own and found out really quick 100% of them are all cnc made...So looked around for a suitable cnc machine and it was way out of my price range. so being a poor south african by design and creation, the only option was to use the god given bush skills and just make my own cnc machine from scratch! took a electric hand drill a radial armsaw a ruler a hacksaw and sme flat metal and angle ali and $5000 dollars and 2 weeks later this machine was born in my workshop! next was to take some lessons on how to draw in CAD and then some more lesson 95% from internet schools in the USA over the following year on how to operate the thing took 14 days to construct 15 to 18 hours a day right out of my head no plans and didnt copy anybodys designs, hadnt even seen a cnc machine in real life! just looked at you tube vids and was inspired buy the many designs I had seen. So after a while it happened and a week turned into a month and months turned into years and here we are, Ive made thousands of parts for planes helis toys you name it! then a mate in the uk asked me if i could do 3d on it as he wanted a curved surface and design for his bit of wood he had so we gave it a go and this is his design my machine and cad experience,
thes photos are of the the unfinished axe there are some finished ones but will need to source them from him
    cheers

Would love to see some of the finished pics. Was it all done with a flush bit?
