Thread: Hall of Fame

  1. #1
Folks, I'm trying to put together a "Hall of Fame" for GOTM Winners in 2013. This will be a dedicated page in our forthcoming printed 2014 Catalogue.

I've got pretty good records from about April 2013 onwards, but before then is a bit messy.

I'm wondering if those of you who did take out GOTM 2013 can send me:

    • The best Shot of your winning axe
      What upgrades you made
      What finish you applied
      Any other mods you made
Any comments about the build you would like quoted in our Catalogue

If you don't want to post here, please email me at adam@pitbullguitars.com.

    Cheers,

    Adam

Hi Adam, this was the March 2013 GOTM winner, FV-1 in wudtone azure lagoon and vintage yellow neck.
All parts are stock. I cut off part of the pickguard that went in between the pickups as the flame maple cap was too nice to hide.
Comments "It was a pleasure to build and I love the shape and look of these axes, still one of my favourites."

I got a feeling Pablopepper may have won December 2012 or January 2013 with his black glossy telecaster.
Choose whichever photo you like the best for the hall of fame.

    Hi Adam,
this was February 2013 GOTM winner, LP-1S finished in wudtone burning sun (top) and hot auburn (sides and back). Neck was vintage yellow. Gold highlights were added before the gloss coats.
All parts are stock, no modifications were done. This was my 1st wudtone build.
Comments "The spalted cap was beautiful when I unpacked the box and after each coat the grain would pop more. This was a fun build and after this build I had GAS"
Again Adam choose any of the photos. You took these.

Thanks Wokka, does anyone recall the January 2014 Winner? I've got the entries, but I can't remember the Winner. I think we had a Special Guest Judge.
    Cheers,

    Adam

According to Facebook, it was Dingobass' ST-1. My tele was definitely December.

May winner was actually the davocaster.
