Oh, and here's a couple more. One of his works mates standing next the partly finished guitars and another of the guitars ready to be transported to the client.
They are stage props for a New Year's Eve gig apparently.

Cool. I hope they are going to blast some fireworks out of them on New Years.
How do they shape something like that, it looks like it was done by CNC.
Not sure how they were shaped Dan, I'll see him on Sunday and ask him. I do know that they have some CAD drawings for both guitars.
He thinks that they cost about the same as the real guitars. I know which I would prefer. lol

Amazing. Is he going to use elixir strings on them or fencing wire?
Haha , not sure Lawry, I guess it depends on how polystyrene rates as a tonewood. It should be right up there with mahogany and maple I reckon./<\\/p>[]<\\/p>/Quote from lawry on December 21, 2013, 05:50

Oh, right. So it's high density foam 8-)
At first sight I was thinking "those look a little chunky, maybe they're homemade" THEN, I saw that they were leaning ABOVE a garage door. WICKED!! Your buddy should be feeling really good about himself right now.
