Mixed one part dark tease with three parts Golden Rod to get this blend.

Lawry, these Ash bodies are really special. Why would one ever return to Bass wood unless you were going to use a solid colour I guess?

Totally agree Gav. I had no idea until recently that the grain on an ash guitar could be so pronounced and stunning. I've got to give one a try. They're blowing me away.

The important thing is to use a dark colour on the grain to really make it POP! Cut the darker colour back and then paint it.....! Just gorgeous.

I think that's your best one yet Gav. Just lovely grain feature. And you've been very busy lately.

Thanks Rob, been busy doing other stuff, but was determined to make a start. Going to be in Sydney from tomorrow until tuesday so that will give some curing time!

Since this looks like it might turn out to be a special tele, and since I don't hear any rumours of hanging walls being constructed at PBG HQ, I decided to get some really special Rio grande pickups for this baby.
